Established in 1943 as “Press Week,” NYFW was the first organized fashion week globally, created to spotlight American designers and reduce reliance on Parisian fashion during wartime. Today, it remains a cornerstone of the Big Four fashion capitals—alongside Paris, Milan, and London—drawing global attention every February and September.
NYFW champions a dynamic blend of established luxury houses, contemporary labels, and rising stars, making it a melting pot of innovation and modern American style.
